The B.I.O President is Honorary Co-Chair of the International Scientific Conference on “Urban gardens and parks: past, modern and future” sponsored by the Ukrainian State University of Forestry and Wood Technology held in Lviv, and contributes to the conference volume of proceedings.

B.I.O. lead article published in the first issue of the Journal of Integrative Anthropology on “Biopolitics – the bio-environment: social and environmental aspects of human existence” published by Odessa State Medical University.

2000

Yuryi Sergeyev, Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece, participates in the B.I.O. International Conference on “Bio-Diplomacy: The Future of International Relations” and contributes to the volume of proceedings.

1999

Launch of the official B.I.O. branch in Kiev, under the auspices of the Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Konstantin Sytnik, and the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr. Leonid Novokhatko.

Yuryi Sergeyev, Ambassador of Ukraine to Greece, participates in the B.I.O. International Conference on “Biopolitics – The Bio-Environment: Bios Olympiad,” held in Ancient Olympia, and contributes to the volume of proceedings.

Dr. Stanislav I. Sokolenko, Chairman of the Board UKRIMPEX Joint Stock Company, participates in Bios Prize award ceremony in honour of Mstislav Rostropovich, Kitty Kyriacopoulos, Anton Rupert, and Jakob von Uexkull, held in St. Petersburg.

1998

B.I.O. sponsored Hellenic-Ukrainian Conference on “Bio-environment – Bio-culture” with the participation of government delegations from both Ukraine and Greece. The conference two cultural events, an art exhibit of the famous Ukrainian micro-miniaturist Nikolai Syadristy and a concert at the Municipal Theatre of Athens by talented young Ukrainian musicians. 1996

B.I.O. sponsored Hellenic-Ukrainian Symposium on “The Bio-Environment and International Co-operation” held under the auspices of Ambassador Boris Korneyenko. Musicians perform at a concert in honour of the event, including: Irina Riabchun, pianist; Vladislav Halapsis, violin; Alla Halapsis, pianist; and Medea Iasonidou, soprano. 1995

The B.I.O. President attends meeting with the Committee on Legislative Provision of Freedom of Speech and Mass Media, Supreme Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, and participates in extensive discussions with Parliamentarian Commissions.
