The course material was rich and covered many aspects, and I have used some of it when delivering lectures on the environment and during the courses conducted at my institute. I suggest that, with the help of students from different countries in translating some of the course material in their own local languages, you try to find a way to disseminate such valuable knowledge to the public through different possible ways. I can help with regard to Arabic. Also, through this project, a set of visits to these countries can be planned in order to deliver lectures and conduct short training courses with the help of key persons (for example those who participated in the current course) in those countries. The material covered in the course helped me guide one of my students with her MPhil, leading to PhD, on soil analysis and its impact on crop production. I was able to guide her during the study and help her write her thesis. Teaching aside, I am also working as an expert for a company that is conducting a study on measuring the impact that groundwater depth can have on the productivity of date palm species in arid areas (the region between Iran and Pakistan). Date palms are the predominant plant species of these areas and they rely on groundwater. Fluctuations in groundwater level can have a negative impact on productivity, where a decrease in groundwater level can influence production negatively. The material covered in the course helped me understand the basics about water so as to be able to analyze the obtained data and design a good methodology for work.
