The present course, written in a simple way and amplified by numerous examples, was useful for refreshing my knowledge about food, agriculture, and the environment. Sustainable forest management and protection is very essential today. The course contained the basic principles for understanding the methods of forest protection and how this might be done. Since the lectures were written in a simple and comprehensible way, accompanied by numerous examples, the content of the course helped me to understand, in a pleasant way, concepts relating to the protection of forests. Particularly important was the impact of forest protection, for example climate change, biodiversity, the benefits for humanity, etc. On a personal level, and given the relevance to my studies, the course helped me greatly to remember and to elaborate more on this subject and to enrich my knowledge with new information. Sustainable forest protection and management was not included in my studies curriculum. The present course, written in a simple way and enriched with numerous examples, increased my understanding of basic concepts about forest sustainability. It was really interesting to learn about how agriculture is related to forestry and, thus, I would like to believe that the present course will be of outmost importance for my research projects.
